History & Data
The Phalanx is the WDA’s main combat corvette and is actually slightly larger than a Theban Cluster Predator-Class corvette and is very versatile and actually combines features from the TC Predator and the UNSF’s Storm Crane with it’s ability to carry mecha and craft under the crafts belly.
Like most WDA craft the Phalanx is very organic and smoothly shaped, it has a narrow area at the front for the main crew and then a large cargo area in the rear for cargo and troops.
The cargo area of the craft has two side hatches and a single large reach hatch the side hatches mount light Particle beam cannon turrets with two more mounted at the corners of the rear hatch and a heavy particle beam cannon is mounted under the nose of the craft.
The rear troop compartment is capable of holding an oversized platoon of 70 troops and the underneath magnetic latch can hold either five ATV style craft or 2 light tanks or a variety and number of other craft between these two ends, the craft also has a Pilot, Co-Pilot, and main gunner with four secondary gunners acting as load master and assistants.
