History & Data

There are times when it is prudent to power down the HSS-7 Hoplite Hardsuit system; whether it is to keep the suit off of various sensor systems or just to conserve power; and while the suit is still easy to move around in it can quickly become either disgustingly hot or disgustingly cold depending on the weather.

These times are when the HSS-8AFJ comes into play it has small built in energy capacitors that are charged prior to use that plug into external ports on the suit and power the heating/cooling systems of the suit for up to forty-eight hours at a time, photo-voltaic cells located on the breast and upper back of the jacket can easily recharge the jacket when not in use.

The jacket has an inner layer of Thermal Spider-Silk to more easily keep the temperature at a constant rate and is covered by a Kevlar shell to add additional protection.
